The girls are going to MINI Camp!!

Here is some helpful information from the Girl Scout Website!

Speak for the Trees!

Like the Lorax says, you must speak for the trees! You can help make the world a better place for the animals, the trees, and the Lorax while at camp. Activities such as tree planting, animal care and some fun “Dr. Seuss-inspired” adventures will delight Brownies and Juniors. You will also have time to choose from traditional camp activities like hikes, campfires, cookouts, horseback riding and splashing at the sprayground!

What to Pack?!?!?

Sending Mail and Care Packages!

Letters

Campers enjoy getting letters in the mail while they are at camp! Mail is delivered daily (except on Sundays). Try to keep letters upbeat! Unhappy news is best delivered in person when your camper returns home. When addressing the letter, be sure to include your camper’s name, program name, and session number. See the examples below:

?Camper Name
Session Number and Program Name
Camp Daisy Hindman
7240 SW Douglas Road
Topeka, KS 66610
?Maria Sanchez
Session 2, Trail Mix
Camp Daisy Hindman
7240 SW Douglas Road
Topeka, KS 66610

Tip #1: When sending envelopes and stamps with your daughter to camp, use envelopes that are peel & stick. That way the humidity doesn’t self-seal them. Also, it helps if you pre-address them with your address and also have the return address as your home address. That way, it has a high likelihood of getting to you!

Tip #2: To save on postage, think about bringing pre-written/labeled letters. We will deliver the letters on the days that you wish (make sure you specify the day you wish the letter to be delivered on the envelope) with the rest of the mail.

Care Packages

Campers enjoy getting packages with a little flair from home (for ideas ask a seasoned camper). We ask that you respect our attempts to keep kids safe by limiting your packages to non-food and non-electronic items only.
