Welcome to the The New Year 2014 Scouts. The theme for the month of January is Positive Attitude.
We will be working on Bear Achievement 13 in your book- Saving Well, Spending Well and Bear Acheievement 24 -Be a Leader. Please work on these at home with you son and bring your book to the meeting.
All scouts should be able to demonstrate for following skills by now:
1. Say the Cub Scout Promise
2. Tell what Webelos means.
3. Show the Cub Scout sign.
4. Show the Cub Scout handshake.
5. Say the Cub Scout motto.
6. Give the Cub Scout salute.
7. With an adult, complete the exercises in the parent's guide, "How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse.
We find that boys who receive badges and other recognition remain more committed to scouting. Because of this, I ask that each parent (Akela) work with your scout to help them learn all requirements for their Bobcat badge.
