My name is Jerica Walker, and I will be helping out for the 2015-2016 scout year. 

Our first goal is to get everyone their very first badge which is the Bobcat. The Bobcat badge has to be earned before a scout can earn any other recognition. In order to receive the Bobcat badge, the scout must be able to do seven things which are outlined below and can be found in the scout handbook.
 
1. Say the Cub Scout Promise
2. Tell what Webelos means.
3. Show the Cub Scout sign.
4. Show the Cub Scout handshake. 
5. Say the Cub Scout motto.
6. Give the Cub Scout salute. 
7. With an adult, complete the exercises in the parent's guide, "How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse".

We find that boys who receive badges and other recognition remain more committed to scouting. Because of this, I ask that each parent (Akela) work with your Wolf to help them learn all requirements for their Bobcat badge.
