Venture Crew 1250 is sponsored by St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church in Laurel, Maryland.  We meet the 1st & 3rd Sunday at 4:30pm in St Mary's School, Media Center (next to the Church).

Venturing is open to youth (male & female) age 13 (8th grade grads) thru 20.  Boys who are members of Boy Scout Troops can join for free.  Dues are currently $50/year (with a $25 discount for those registered with another BSA unit).   Dues are usually covered by fundraisers.

The Crew specializes in aquatic activities such as: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, lifeguarding, motorboating, sailing, snorkeling, and water skiing.

The Crew also specializes in First Aid & Preparedness.  We have participated in regional search & rescue drills.  Several members are certified in CPR for the Professional Rescurer & First Aid.  We have organized and implemented a "First Aid Challenge" for our District's Fall Camporee and the Winter Klondike Derby.   This year the Crew is rebuilding after loosing most members to college and aging out.  We have archery & shooting high-power rifles planned and other activities selected by youth member choices.
