Chartering Organization

The lodge was chartered on January 24, 1911 as the Minnequa Lodge with 90 members and now numbers 600 members of the Loyal Order of Moose and 270 members of the Women of the Moose. It became a Moose Family Center in 2007.

The lodge's current home on Sullivan Street in downtown Canton was originally a law office, which was purchased from the estate of its owner. It was rebuilt after being badly damaged by fire in 1947, and the current one-story dining room was added to the original two-story structure in 1991. Today it offers a diversified program of family activities for all age groups.

The Canton lodge has been very active in the support of the two Moose residential facilities - Mooseheart for needy children in Illinois and Moosehaven for senior citizens in Florida.

The Canton Moose Family Center is the chartering organization for Cub Scout Pack 3 and Boy Scout Troop 33. They have sponsored the boys for the past 58 years. Beyond the financial support, the Moose provides meeting areas for the den and pack meetings, catering and location for the Blue and Gold Banquet, and use of the facilities for the Pinewood Derby.

Pack 3 is very thankful for all the support they provide!

Thank You!!!!!
