Public Pinewood Derby - Cub Scout Pack 50 (Loveland, Ohio)

The pinewood derby is a racing event for Cub Scouts in the Boy Scouts of America. Cub Scouts, with the help of parents, build their own cars from wood, usually from kits containing a block of pine, plastic wheels and metal axles. The pinewood derby was selected as part of "America's 100 Best" in 2006 as a "celebrated rite of spring" by Readers Digest. --from Wikipedia

Rules and Regulations

The rules and regulations for the district are in the attached PDF file at the bottom of the page. Please download and review. The information provided in the first four pages of the document refer to the Blue Jacket District race specifically. It provides times, locations and eligibility information.

District Race Eligibility

Each registered Blue Jacket District Pack may send three (3) Cub Scouts and one (1) Webelos Scout and their
cars to the District Pinewood Derby Race.

One (1) Tiger Cub Scout
One (1) Wolf Cub Scout
One (1) Bear Cub Scout
One (1) Webelos Scout

The remaining pages of the document contain the rules and regulations that must be followed in preparing your car to race in both the Pack 50 race and the district, if your son were to qualify according to the eligibility requirements above.
