Camp Bon Temps

Camp Bon Temps located at 1123 Camp Bon Temp Road in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana is set on 106 acres in St Martin Parish. Camp Bon Temps named for the "Good Times" held there is an ideal area for learning many things about the outdoors and the world around us. It is a place where one can have fun and also have a quiet moment in time and enjoy nature at its fullest.

Facilties at Camp Bon Temps

Lodge - Large main room, screened back porch, equipped kitchen, first aid room, three bathrooms, hot showers, wood burning stove. Sleeping capacity - thirty-three in the main room, twenty-six on the screened porch. (No beds available)
Kiwanis Huts (Two) - Located near the lodge - sleeping capacity, eight each. Huts are not equipped with bathrooms.
Screened Huts - Three large and three small: no bathrooms; sleep twelve each and small huts sleep six each.
Swamp Unit - Four above ground huts that sleep six each. These huts are joined together by walkways and a central gathering area.
Covered Pavilions - Two large pavilions with fireplaces and picnic tables.
Bathhouses (Three) - Restrooms and shower facilities for troops staying in huts or tents.
Pool - Large pool, available for use May 1 to September 30, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Lake - Ten-acre lake used for canoeing and/or fishing.
Chapel - An A-framed structure with outdoor bench seating, built in memory of Sharon Rickey Kazemi with memorial funds. Located on an island in the lake, it is an ideal location for a Girl Scouts’ Own or other special ceremonies.

Girl Scouts of Louisiana – Pines to the Gulf’s Camp Bon Temps is 106.7 acres of woodlands located between Breaux Bridge and Cecilia. Named for the “Good Times” held there, thousands of Girl Scouts have participated in outdoor activities since it was established in 1963. The camp is maintained and protected by a year round resident property development director.

Directions from Lafayette

Take the Breaux Bridge exit
Turn north on Anse Broussard Rd
Drive 1.08 miles
Turn left on Poche Bridge Rd
Cross the bridge, turn left on Hwy 31
Drive 1.03 miles
Turn right on Girl Scout Road
Follow Girl Scout Rd into camp
(Cross Camp Bon Temps Rd)

Turn eat on Pinhook Rd
Turn right on Camel Rd (light)
Drive 6.5 miles
Turn left on Hwy 31 (1^st light in Breaux Bridge)
Drive 3 miles
Turn left on Girl Scout Rd
Follow Girl Scout Rd into camp
