If you've come here you are likely looking for information on what is required for a uniform and where to get it.

Lion Cubs (Kindergarten): The uniform for Lion Cubs is pretty easy.

Lion T-Shirt

Lion Cap (optional)

For the rest of the scouts (including leaders) it gets more complicated.  Each scout (and leader) requires a shirt.  The shirt should have the following attributes:

·         Official Blue Shirt (long or short sleeve) – Tigers, Wolves, & Bears (1st – 3rd Grade)

·         Official Tan Shirt (long or short sleeve) with Blue Shoulder epaulets – Webelos (4th & 5th Grade) & Leaders

·         Daniel Webster Council Shoulder Patch

·         Unit Numerals (184)

·         World Scouting Crest (1910 ring patch optional)

Insignia should be sewn on using the following guide: Cub Scout Insignia Guide

* Do note that not all of the insignia in the guide will be applicable

The other firm requirement is the neckerchief and that goes by rank:

·         Tigers (1st grade) – Orange with Tiger emblem

·         Wolves (2nd grade) – Yellow with Wolf emblem

·         Bears (3rd grade) – Blue with Bear emblem

·         Webelos (4th & 5th grade) – Plaid with Webelo emblem

·         Leaders – Optional – Leader Specific or Bolo tie

Each neckerchief has a corresponding slide with matching emblem, or the scout may choose to wear a handmade emblem.

Tigers through Bears Should also purchase a blue web belt as this will be used for any belt loops.   Webelos and Adult leaders should purchase the green web belt.

In terms of official scout pants or shorts the blue uniform shirts have matching blue pants and the tan uniforms have olive green pants.  Check with your den leader whether or not these are required, in many cases jeans or similarly colored pants may be acceptable.

Also technically a part of the class A uniform are the official socks.  These are probably not required but if you want to purchase them Tigers have blue with orange tops, Wolves and Bears have blue with yellow tops, and Webelos and leaders have green with red tops.
