Hello! We are the Bear Den. We are 9 years old or in the third grade. We are beginning to work more by ourselves but really appreciate parental guidance! Our responsibility is growing, in addition to building on the knot-working and tool knowledge we gained last year, we are also eligible for a Whittling Chip this year, which means learning to use (and respect!) all sorts of knives. We are usually most excited for this and look forward to it all year!

We strive to be a good example for the Wolves and Tigers and are beginning to take a leadership role in the Pack. We participate in Pack meetings in a more important way, often by doing flag ceremonies and helping other boys and adults who are still unfamiliar with Scouting. We are strong and thoughtful at this age and are eager to prove ourselves and be the best scouts we can be!
