Cub Scout Pack 252 starts its scouting year in August of each year.
Scout Registration Fee
The 2014-2015 registration fee for New and Returning Scouts are as follows. The fee covers National Boy Scouts of America, Council and Pack dues.
- Tiger, Wolf, Bear and 1st Year Webelos: $65/year
- 2nd Year Webelos: $45/year
Every 'new' scout registration comes with one free ClassB t-shirt. Additional t-shirts can be purchased at the current rate*.
The scout registration fees also cover the following:
- Those coming on board during Roundup get September-December Fee Free ($65 covers the 2015 year).
- Neckerchief, Handbook or Webelos Colors.
- Achievements related to rank advancement and select patches related to service projects.
- One Pinewood Derby Car.
- Majority of Pack Meeting Costs (presenters and materials to run stations)
At the time of registration
you also have the option to purchase an annual subscription* to Boys Life Magazine (the official publication of the Boy Scouts of America).
Other Cub Scout/Parent Costs:
- Uniform for Scout: Costs around $45-$50 for initial purchase of uniform and required emblems
- Den Dues – dependent on Den Leader’s planned activities (covers material costs). We ask den leaders to keep to a minimum (most are between $10-$20/year, if anything at all--depends on rank and ability to get things donated).
- Costs for Select Pack and Den Activities (most Pack activities that cost are optional participation). Den activity fees cover entrance fees which we ask to be kept to a minimum if related to rank advancement.
Examples of Pack activities include
- Twilight Camp (Pack subsidizes for Scout -- dependent on Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser)
- Family Camp (Pack subsidizes a portion—dependent on Pancake Fundraiser)
- Blue and Gold Dinner (food costs)
- Pack Outings at select locations like Sky Zone, Bowling or Fishing (we try to get group rate)
- Other Scout District-wide Events (like Expo, Webelos Camporee, Rivercats Scout Night)
