Tiger Cub

Tiger Cubs is an exciting introduction to the scouting program for first grade boys (or 7 years old) excited to get going!   Tiger Cubs do stuff - lots of stuff - with their adult partners. This program is intended to open up the world to inquisitive minds along with the caring guidance of adults. The first steps along the Boy Scout Trail are laid here and every rank advancement through the scouting program builds on the basic categories of activity done as tigers.

Tiger Path

The path to the Tiger Cub Rank takes these young scouts on adventures to Search, Discover and Share. Once a Tiger Cub earns his Bobcat Rank and Tiger Totem, he is ready to earn the Tiger Cub rank by completing family activities, den activities, and field trip or "Go See It" activities in each of five achievement Areas:

1. Making My Family Special
2. Where I Live
3. Keeping Myself Healthy and Safe
4. How I Tell It
5. Let's Go Outdoors

As a Tiger Cub Scout completes each achievement, he is awarded the following beads to be worn proudly to show progress.

A WHITE bead for each required FAMILY Activity.
An ORANGE bead for each required DEN Activity.
A BLACK bead for each required GO SEE IT Activity.
A YELLOW bead for each 10 Tiger Electives.

Tiger Cub Scouts should review their Tiger handbook or click on this link to a online version.  You will be amazed at how much we are already doing as a family or in school.  Print or show book to your den leader when you complete something to be "signed-off".
