Join Us
Any girl 5-17 years of age can join the world largest organization for girls! Girls make new friends; participate in arts and crafts; learn high adventure activities like rock climbing, mountain biking and windsurfing; and learn about the world.

If you live in the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area, there is place for you in one of the 5,000 troops in the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital (GSCNC). To find a troop in your area click on the Find a Troop link on the left or call one of Council's seven satellite offices.
Girl Scout-Levels
Girls can join Girl Scouts at different grade-levels:
- Girl Scout Daisy, grades K-1
- Girl Scout Brownie, grades 2-3
- Girl Scout Junior, grades 4-5
- Girl Scout Cadette, grades 6-8
- Girl Scout Senior, grades 9-10
- Girl Scout Ambassador, grades 11-12
