Pack 434 Cub Scouts Invite You

To Join in The Fun of Cub Scouting!

Pack 434 meets each Monday during the academic school year (except holidays), at 6:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 1201 Stubbs Avenue, Monroe, LA 71201.  We'll have all the information you need to join Cub Scouting and take part in all the fun! Who Can Join Pack 434?   First thru Fifth Grade boys (incoming first graders can sign up after 1 June). First graders are Tiger Cubs, Second graders are Wolves, Third graders are Bears, Fourth and Fifth graders are Webelos (which is short for We-Be-Loyal-Scouts.)  Cub Scouts are divided into these age groups and meet in separate 'dens.'

When Can Our Family Join Pack 434? The traditional time to join Scouting is in the fall or the spring but your family can join Scouting at any time of the year!

What Do Cub Scouts Do in Pack 434?  We go Camping, Bowling, Fishing and Hiking!  We race Pinewood Derby cars and learn how to use pocket knives to carve!  We serve our community with clean up projects and food drives.  We learn about our Country and our Flag!  You can learn all sorts of fun skills and do projects with your friends and family in order to earn badges and belt loops for your uniform! We also participate as a unit in a 3 day Cub Resident Camp each June at Camp TL James, near Downsville, LA (about 30 minutes northwest of Monroe.)

Where Do Pack 434 Scouts Come From? Pack 434 primarily serves the families of J.S. Clark Magnet School, but we also have families from many other City of Monroe public elementary schools and Grace Episcopal School. 

How Often Do Pack 434 Scouts Meet?  Each den meets two to three times per month.  All dens meet in a combined pack meeting once a month.  Both types of meetings last about one hour.

Does Pack 434 Meet in the Summer? Yes, we do but it is a reduced schedule.  We typically participate in the 3-day Cub Resident Camp in June and will do one fun activity in July and another in August so our pack can qualify for the Summertime Pack Award.
