STEM In Scouting

For 2016-2017, Pack 1855 will provide its Scouts the opportunities and experiences to stimulate interest in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields while making it fun for youth to explore those subjects. In the course of doing so, Scouts will have the chance to earn belt loops and pins from the Cub Scout Academics and Sports Program, and to build on and enhance their knowledge through STEM-related activities. Examples include:

  • October 15, 2016 STEM-A-Palooza: This is a Council event that will be at Camp Big Timber. Information to come as the event gets closer.
  • 2016-2017 Northwestern University will have multiple STEM activities for Scouts
  • 2017 U-46 Stem Expo

Wolf, Bear and Webelos Scouts have the option to pursue their interest in STEM further by working towards the Nova Awards. See the Cub Scout Nova Awards Guidebook for the Nova Awards requirements.
