Finally, with your adult partner, complete the exercises in the parent's guide, "How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse."

On a personal note, I highly recommend this pamphlet, because it gives children language they can use in situations that make them uncomfortable, when they might otherwise feel powerless to say "no."  Please take a look at this material with your son.

Once you have learned this material, you will receive your Bobcat badge, the first step in cub scouting.

BTW- ironing the patches doesn't really work long-term.  I recommend sewing them to make sure they don't come off and need to be replaced.   Hillsdale Cleaners (160 Broadway, with off-street parking) will sew on all the initial patches + Bobcat badge (6 in all) for $10.
