Tiger Cubs (entering first grade or age 7), Wolf Cub Scouts (entering second grade or age 8), Bear Cub Scouts (entering third grade, or age 9), Webelos Scouts (entering fourth or fifth grade, or age 10). 

Cub Scouting offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Service projects, ceremonies, games, and other activities guide boys through the core values and give them a sense of personal achievement. Through positive peer group interaction and parental guidance, boys also learn honesty, bravery, and respect. 

The Cub Scout program is designed to compliment many other extracurricular activities. Typical time commitment is two Den meetings and one Pack meeting per month. Boys who participate in organized sports like soccer, baseball, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, etc, or academic-based extracurricular activities like music, art, science etc., can be recognized for these activities though Cub Scout belt loops and pins which are worn on their uniform.

Pack 532 is very active, providing a rich environment for boys and their families. Typical annual events include:

The annual Pack 532 dues for each child covers such items as the National registration fee, a pack t-shirt, the pinewood derby kits, some event fees, and all patches and awards for the year.

Other costs include uniforms and some activity fees including those for the Day Camp. Youth members participate in one fund-raising activity (popcorn & wreaths), which helps to cover Den and Pack supplies, equipment, and other activities.

Cub Scouts usually meet in their Dens two to three times each month, and a Pack meeting is held for all Cub Scouts and their families once a month. Beyond that, it depends on the Den and Pack: a Den may hold a special activity, such as a service project or visit to a local museum in place of one of the weekly meetings or in addition to the weekly meetings. Likewise, the Pack may conduct a special event such as an outing, campout, or service activity as an additional event, rather than a substitute for its monthly Pack meeting. 

Sports is a very important part of many boy's lives.  Several of our scouts also play one or more sports, are involved in school clubs, or are active in other church or school activities. We understand that there will be occasional schedule conflicts, this is not a problem. 

At Pack 532, we aim to keep the costs to the parents extremely low.  Most Pack Meetings, Pack Events, and Pack

Conservation & Service Projects are FREE!  This includes all entertainment at the Pack Meetings!  The planned events that cost money are Summer Camp, Blue & Gold Banquet, and camping or museum overnights.

Scouts can offset the cost of the night of the museum overnight through our fundraiser. $10 for every $100 in sales is credited towards the museum overnight fees.

All of the Events that cost additional money are optional (though summer camp is strongly recommended), and are available at a discounted rate to Scouts and their families.  Our ONE annual fundraiser pays for everything else!

We plan a lot of interesting and new events so that our families can take advantage of many exciting opportunities at reduced cost or group rates.  The families will also get to experience these events with their friends in the Den or Pack.  We encourage you to attend all of our Pack meetings, but the events are purely optional and available for those families that want to and are able to attend.  Don't feel that you have to attend all of these events.
