About Cedar Point Preserve

Cedar Point Preserve is a 400+ acre park, part of the city of Jacksonville's Preservation Project. Cedar Point is located on Black Hammock Island, a barrier island within an intricate salt marsh ecosystem. In addition to the salt marsh, this site supports several other important communities; oak hammocks, pine flatwoods, and a freshwater marsh system. Forested areas within Cedar Point provide habitat for wildlife, including many wintering and migratory birds. Parking is available at the trailhead access on Cedar Point Road. From there, over 7 miles of trails are available for hiking and exploration.
