T-161 September Outing - Rock Cut State Park, Sept

T-161 September Outing - Rock Cut State Park, September 12-14

Hi Scouters!

Welcome back to our new school year with Troop 161!  The summer went fast and after a terrific week at Napowan, we are charging again in to the outdoors with our September trip to Rock Cut State Park.  This is a last minute change due to a reservations issue, but we’ve been to Rock Cut before and had a blast last time!

I need to apologize for the lateness of the trip information.  I had a last minute problem with reservations and it took me a few days to find another location for our September trip.  I’ll be sure to get information out timelier next trip!

For those not familiar with it, Rock Cut is a State Park just north of Rockford and a little over an hour away.  It has a huge lake, Pierce Lake, at over 162 acres.  It also has lots of woods, miles of hiking trails, and lots to explore.  This will be open to our incoming Webelos from Pack 161 so we will be spending some time (hopefully!) showing the new kids how we have fun on our outings!  The may be chances to go fishing here, so it’s ok to bring some tackle, but it’s not required.  If you do bring fishing gear, you will be responsible for it so only bring what you may realistically use.  There will be plenty of other activities to do.

Mr. North
