Junior Girl Scouts
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
Girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Girl Scouting helps girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill, and respect; develop values to guide their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision-making; and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills, and cooperation with others.
5 Things about Junior Girl Scouts:
· Girl Scout Juniors want and need to be ACTIVE!
· Girl Scout Juniors want to GO PLACES! Outing-based activities will take a more prominent role.
· Girl Scout Juniors want to MAKE DECISIONS. More choices on what they do will be placed upon them.
· Girl Scout Juniors want to BE IN CHARGE, and great leaders find ways for that to happen!
· Girl Scout Junior want to HAVE FUN! Girls want to do what they think is fun.
As Junior Girl Scouts, the girls will earn badges and discover what girl power is all about through new activities and by learning to take charge of their own plans. They will gain self-confidence as they explore the world in partnership with their troop and leaders.
Every Junior takes pride in doing her best to live by the Girl Scout Law. As Girl Scout Juniors, girls will find out who they are and which path is right for her – whether it is leading bold and adventurously or quiet and thoughtfully, or a combination of the two. In their own special way, Juniors will discover how to make the world a better place– all while having fun and making new friends – in the Junior Journeys and the Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting.
