The Pack kept active this summer, though operated on a reduced schedule to allow for vacations and relaxation. Our June Pack event was our District's Belt Loop Bonanza on June 7th at Brushy Creek MUD Recreation Center. Scouts could earn belt loops for BB Gun, Archery, Art, and Hiking.
Several of our Scouts attended the "Gadgets, Gizmos and Goo" Summer Camp at Old Settlers Park in June and earned several pins, belt loops and patches! Way to go Scouts!
For July, we participated in the 4th of July Parade in downtown Round Rock. Scouts decorated their bicycles and scooters with festive and patriotic decorations. The Scouts also passed out popsicles to help cool off parade-goers.
For August, it was all about our Popcorn "Show and Sell" fundraiser. Cub Scouts learned about goal setting, commitment to a project, and dedication.
To close out the summer, we met at the Splash Pad by City Hall in downtown Round Rock on August 23rd. After a good soaking, we all took a "hike" over to Kawaii Ice for some shaved ice!
