Hello Potential New Cub Scout Families,

This is an introduction to Vestal Cub Scout Pack 221.  Feel free to share this information with any interested boys/families you know who might want to check out scouts. 

Our Cub Scout Pack is made up of first thru fifth grade boys.  We regularly meet on Tuesday nights at 6:30pm. 

The smaller grade level groups in Cub Scouts are called Dens.  In our Pack, Dens meet approximately two times a month from September through February.  In Cub Scouts:  1^st graders are part of the Tiger Den, 2^nd - Wolf Den, 3^rd - Bear Den, 4^th - Webelos I Den and 5^th - Arrow of Light Den.  A parent or guardian must attend all meetings with their Tiger Scout.  Older scouts do not need an adult to attend with them (but they are always welcome to! Some siblings even attend regularly with parent’s supervision). 

Once a month we have Pack Meetings in which the whole family is encouraged to attend, progress awards are given, and fun is had! 

From September through February we also have Pack Events once a month in which the whole family is welcome (these are some annual events:  Tree planting, Pumpkin Run Event at Arnold Park, Veteran’s Day Parade, Christmas Caroling at a Nursing Home, Pine Wood Derby and the Blue & Gold Celebration/Awards Dinner). 

From March through May we still meet weekly, but we mainly have Pack Events.  These are usually super fun electives (in the past we have had events at Kopernik, Roberson, Skate Estate, Special Olympics, the German American Club, Hiking, Greek Peak Water Park, Bowling…).
