The Bear Program is designed for the interests and abilities of 3rd grade boys and their families.  While boys will fulfill some requirements for the bear badge at Den Meetings, many will need to be completed with an adult partner/family member outside the Scout Meetings.  BSA has designed the Cub Scout Program with the intent to build strong family relationships as well as weaving messages of lifetime values into their activities.  Boys will be able to make good decisions throughout their lives and build the confidence needed to be great leaders in their communities!

 Bear Advancement Records should be recorded in the back of a boys handbook on a regular basis in order to Receive Credit towards rank at a Pack Meeting. 

This information is intended to make bear cub scout dens more productive and interesting for the scouts. A cub scout at the bear level needs a lot of activity made up of short, interesting games, projects, and challenges.
