Note:  February 2, 2014 is Scout Sunday.  Pack 492 will worship at Trinity Baptist Church.   We are asking that scouts be in full dress uniform.  If they are not able to be in uniform they can wear a white shirt and dark pants and shoes.  More information will be provided.

Subject:           100^Th Anniversary Encampment

On October 19-20 we attend the Heart of Virginia Encampment at the State Camp Ground. 

Listed below is the information you will need.

·         Cost $15 per person – Monday due October 14

·         Notification to Connie if your scout will attend October 8^th

·         Completion of Medical Forms due October 7^th

·         Report to Trinity Baptist Church October 19^th  8:00 am – we will depart to Fair Group at 8:30 am

·         We will return Sunday morning October 20^th – Time will be provided next week

The Cub Scout Website has been updated.  The URL is http://cspack492.ScoutLander.com.

For scouts camping this weekend you will need to be at church at 8:00 am on October 19^th we will return October 20^th by 9:30. Please pick up your scout at that time.

·         Uniform is T-Shirt – Please put long sleeve shirt under it.

·         Medical form is due 10/14/12 to Connie Alston

·         $15 is due 10/14/12

·         Please refer to  “What to Bring” from the communication sent 10/7/13.

Scouting for Food – Each year the Heart of Virginia Council of Boys Scouts of America has a food drive to support the Virginia Food Bank.   The Cub and Boy Scouts of Trinity Baptist Church participate in this event.  On October 26th the scouts deliver bags to the area surrounding the church.  On November 2nd the bags with food are picked up.   Please see information below:

·         October 26^th – Report to Church in Uniform (T-Shirt) at 8:30 a.m.  Light breakfast will be served.  Bags will be put out at 9;00 am.  

·         November 2nd – Report to Church in Uniform(T-Shirt) at 9:00.  Light breakfast will be served.  We will start picking up bags at 10:00 am. 

 

Please note there will not be a meeting on October 21, 2014.
