Leader Training

The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our youth members.  To maintain such an environment, the BSA developed numerous procedural & leadership selection policies and provides parents & leaders with resources for all Scout programs.

We highly encourage ALL parents to take the online YOUTH PROTECTION GUIDELINES (YPG) training which is well worth a moment of your time.

It's simple:  go to MyScouting.org & create an account.  Click on E-Learning & take the Youth Protection training.  Upon completion, you may print a certificate of completion for your records.

  • Youth Protection Training

Verification of training in Youth Protection Training may be furnished by presentation of the training completion card.Verification of training in Hazardous Weather may be furnished by presentation of the Weather Smart Certificate of Completion. Either can also be verified by checking the computer-generated listing maintained by the Service Center.
