Day Camp 2013 Forms and Information

Rainbow Council will be holding a Cub Scout Day Camp on the following dates:

Bolingbrook June 10-14 2013

New Lenox June 17-21 2013

Kankakee (Twilight Camp) June 24-28 2013

Shorewood July 8-12 2013

Morris (Twilight Camp) July 15-19 2013

DEADLINES:
Registration form must be filled out for all persons attending (Scout, Adult, Sibling) and turned in to Pack Coordinator by  
                        April 15
Payment due to Pack Coordinator by 
                        May 6

 

Pack 237 will be going to the New Lenox Camp from June 17-21, but you can attend any of the other camps if that works best for your family.  You may attend any of the Family Days.   More information about Family Days will be posted as it becomes available.

The cost is $80. 
Make checks out to Pack 237, as the Pack will write the check to Rainbow Council.

Parents are *required* to volunteer at least one day as a Day Walker or a staff member.  It is a very fun experience with your son and the other boys.  Day Camp is run primarily by adult volunteers, and each Pack is expected to provide a certain number of volunteers.
Every volunteer must have Youth Protection Training completed prior to attending camp.
If you are interested in volunteering for BB or Archery, special additional training must be taken.  Training is scheduled for the following dates at Rainbow Scout Reservation.  Advanced registration is required, and there is no fee for the training.
April 6th,    9AM to 12 noon   BB
                1PM to 4PM       Archery

   May 11th,    9AM to 12 noon   Archery
                1PM to 4PM       BB

Every person attending Day Camp (Scout, parent, and sibling) must fill out an application and a BSA Health Form.  Siblings MUST be at least 3 and potty trained.
New this year for the registration process!
There is a different form for each type of person attending.  You can also type your information in the form and print it out.  Please download the appropriate form below and return it to the Pack Coordinator by April 15.

CubScout Application



All new scouts are required to complete an application. Annual Pack 237 Dues are ___.

Adult Leader Application




Pack 237 has a very active leadership, dedication to the character development of each boy. Active parent participation is essential to ensure success of the Pack. Pack 237 leader positions are listed below. Positions that work with boys:
  • Cubmaster
  • Assistant Cubmaster
  • Den Leaders
  • Assistant Den Leaders
Positions that work with adults
  • Committee Chair
  • Pack Trainer
  • Treasurer
  • Advancement Coordinator
  • Chartered Organization Representative
  • Event Coordinators (various)
Adults interested in “Helping the Pack grow” should discuss their interests with the Cubmaster. All adult leaders must complete an application.

Medical Forms


Medical Forms may be required for participants of certain activities. See the event description or contact your leader for details on which form(s) may be required.

Spring Campout: EVERY member of the family attending this campout MUST have a new medical form on file. Complete parts A and C (No doctor sign-off required).

Resident Camp: EVERY scout and parent attending MUST have one of the new medical forms on file. Parts A, B and C (Doctor sign-off required on Part B)

Uniform Inspection Sheet



For proper placement of awards and insignia on the Cub Scout uniform, download the Cub Scout and Webelos Scout Uniform Inspection Sheet. For proper placement of insignia on the leader uniform, download the Male Leader or Female Leader uniform inspection forms.
