Snack Sack Program:
This is a program that helps kids that go hungry over each weekend. Sometimes we only see the needs of the homeless, third world countries, and other people in need. What we do not always see is the ones that need our help right here in our communities.
There are 8 local elementary schools that we provide food for the weekend for kids identified by councilers. These kids receive a discrete package on Fridays. In these packs are food items that need no preparation, such as: juice, apple sauce, pop tarts, cheese crackers, and more.
How the scouts help out!
The Snack Sacks are packaged on the Wednesday following the last Friday of each month at 5:45PM. Each Den is assigned a specific month to help out with projects at our Charter Organization. The scouts help set-up the assembly line, package these items, and recycle the packaging.
