101 FUN Things to Do in Cub Scouting

One of the distinctions of the scouting program is that it is family-oriented.  We want and need your participation.
Unlike sports, where one or two coaches run the team, scouting runs best when we all get engaged in the program.
The scouts who tend to stay in the program are quite often the scouts who have had strong family involvement.

Pack 64 is a very active pack, and we do all kinds of fun activities that the boys really enjoy.

Fall and Spring Family Camping Weekends

Enjoying nature with our Monthly Hiking Club Hikes

Race car fun with our Pinewood Derby

Marching in the Somerville St. Patrick's Day Parade

Helping others by Scouting For Food

Holiday fun with our annual Caroling Night

Celebrating Scouting at our Blue and Gold Banquet

Watching rockets fly high at our Rocket Launch

Spend a THRILLING overnight aboard the USS NJ, or at the Museum!

Building boats and helping them float to victory at our Raingutter Regatta

Our annual and enjoyable Pack Picnic, outdoor food and fun with friends and family

A parade on the field at Patriots Stadium and then stay for the game

Catch a big one at the Fishing Derby

Opportunities for Summer Day and Resident Camp

Fun, Wet, Messy Fundraising Car Washes

Practice and perform skits for the whole Pack to enjoy

Painting ceramics or doing something fun at our Mom and Me Scout event

Not to mention our monthly Pack Meetings that include ceremonies and advancements that make the boys beam with pride, fun and games with friends, community service activities to make the world a better place, and lots of laughter!

Pack 64 recognizes that character development in Cub Scouting is about encouraging our Cubs to foster the 12 Points of the Scout Law. Most of the activities and games we organize for our Pack and Den Meetings are designed to teach these values in a fun and interesting way.

That's what's so great about scouts, the boys spend time with their friends, learning from people who have excellent values and morals, and who truly WANT the boys to have fun and enjoy the scouting program.
