Our primary goal at Troop 23 is to help “Develop Young Men of Integrity” and to encourage the growth of moral Christian character in each Scout based on God’s word (the Bible) and principles found in the Scout Oath and Law.

A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly,
courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty,
brave, clean, and reverent. 

The Three Aims of Scouting are to:

The Methods of Scouting are:

• Ideals (Oath, Law, Motto, Slogan, Standards)
• Patrols (Peer Groups, Elected Representation, Activities)
• Outdoors (Woodskills, Hiking, Camping, Conservation, Sports)
• Advancement (Self-reliance, Ability to Help Others, Challenge)
• Adult Association (Role Model, Instruction)
• Personal Growth (Religious Program, Service Projects, Good Turns)
• Leadership Development (Leadership Skills and Practice, Citizenship)
• Uniform (Commitment to Aims, Indentity, Practical Attire)
