Woodland BSA Troop 131

Welcome to Troop 131's Website
Sponsored by Woodland Sunrise Rotary Club

Basics
Meetings are every Thursday evening (6:00-8:30 pm) at the Woodland Boy Scout Cabin
located at 515 Lincoln Street between College and First Streets, Woodland, California.
Outings occur monthly; most are overnight camping trips, some are day trips.
Every summer the troop spends a week at summer camp.

What is BSA Troop 131 all about?
It is for boys age 11-17 who want to have fun, explore the outdoors, learn leadership skills, and hang out together.
No experience or prior training is needed.
Boys work in small groups called patrols to eat, learn new skills, and just have fun.
Patrols are run by the scouts to get hands-on leadership skills.
As the scouts learn skills and show leadership they gain rank and other awards.
All scouts benefit from these experiences regardless of what rank they earn.
A few, about 2% nationally, earn the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.
Troop 131 has traditionally developed a significant number of Eagle Scouts.
