TROOP 40025

OOLTEWAH, TN

Information for Girl Scout Parents

Girl Scouts is an international organization dedicated solely to girls. In partnership with committed adults, girls build character and skills to achieve success in the real world - all while having fun!  Girl Scouts is for any girl, age 5-17, who subscribes to the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

Troop 40025 is currently made up of Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies and Juniors; grades 1-5.  Girl Scouts annual registration begins in September.  There is an annual registration fee, currently $15. Our troop currently has no troop dues. Typically Troops meet from August through May, additional meetings may be held during the summer months if desired.

When are Troop Meetings?

Our Troop Meetings are twice a month on Thursday from August through May, from 6 to 7 pm.  Changes may be made to this schedule for months with more than 4 Thursdays.  A troop calendar of meetings and activities is available to parents and Girls Scouts of Troop 40025.

Where do I buy uniforms and other Girl Scout items?

Girls Scouts have the option of purchasing a vest or a sash. When you purchase a uniform for your Brownie scout, you will also need to buy the Girl Scout Council Identification Set and Troop Numbers (4-0-0-2-5).

Your Girl Scout will be collecting fun patches for various activities; these should be placed on the back side of the vest or sash. Girl Scout Vests/Sashes can be purchased at the GSCSA Council Shop or through your Troop Leader.  For more information about the cost of uniforms, please visit the GSACP Shop page.

What about Girl Scout Cookies?

The annual Girl Scout Cookie sale begins in February and ends in March.  Proceeds support both our troop activities as well as the local council, Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians.  Participation in the cookie sale is voluntary, and other than small incentive gifts for the girls, all proceeds are pooled regardless of how many boxes each girl sells.  Girl Scouts will also have the opportunity to participate in cookie booth sales (if they choose).
