WELCOME TO TROOP 2001
Troop 2001 is well known and considered one of the best Troops in the area
We follow the national plan of First Class First Year.
Our Scouts are encouraged to attend as many meetings and activities as possible. Not all but as many as possible. Plenty of opportunity is available for the active Scout to reach their goal, whatever it may be. We encourage them to obtain the rank of Eagle. This requires regular attendance and the desire to obtain it. If the Scout wants it we are one of the best to get him there.
WE ARE BOY LED:
Meaning the boys of the Troop run the Troop. From planning Troop activities, by the youth leaders, to participating in them.
Old Scoutmasters occasionally wake up, get out of their rocking chairs, and serve as guides
WE ARE PATROL FORMED:
Our Scouts function in Patrols which allows them to work in smaller units and have the ability to learn to be the leaders of tomorrow at a pace conducive to their needs
WE HAVE FREQUENT COURTS OF HONORS:
This allows our scouts to receive their awards and advancements at a frequent intervals thereby staying on pace
WE HAVE MONTHLY OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES:
Through regular activities our scouts are able to advance and learn the outdoors
Scouts plan their activity and the adults help in making it happen
MEETING DAYS: Mondays
MEETING TIMES: 7:00pm to 8:30pm
