****MEETING INFORMATION****



First Troop Meeting:  Sunday, September 28th @ 12pm-2pm


Location:   Barnegat Recreation Center (ROOM A)  (Behind the Barnegat PD)


Meeting Dues:
$3 per meeting



Annual Registration: $27 girl scout (registration is September 2013-September 2014)
                                      $12 adult volunteer
                                      CHECKS payable to "GSJS" for registration only

Uniform: $20.95 (sash and start up patches)

Meeting dues and uniform fees are payable to "TROOP 50515"

The Kaper Chart


Each Girl Scout will be assigned a duty at the meeting.
The following are tasks to be fulfilled at each meeting (or as deemed appropriate).


Meeting Starter: She brings attention to the troop and brings them together in a circle



Troop Secretary: Collects dues, permission slips, and any other important troop forms and documents it accordingly. She also takes attendance and completes the "Ready-Set-Go" chart.

            "Ready-Set-Go" chart tracks that the girl scout is 100% ready for the meeting- wearing
             her uniform and has her gear for that meeting (i.e. GS homework, Journey book, bag, sit-             upon, etc.).



Promise: Engages the girls in reciting the Girl Scout Promise



Pledge: Engages the girls in reciting the pledge of allegiance



Craft Helper: assists the leaders in setting up the day's craft activity by distributing the supplies



Clean-up: assists in delegating clean up tasks to troop and helps as well. She permits the troop to move on to the next activity!



Snack: designated Girl Scout to bring a snack to the troop (includes drinks)



Game Girl:  decides on the game that the troop will play at wrap-up



Friendship Squeeze: She starts the friendship squeeze at the end of the meeting...this brings closure to the meeting until next time! :)

Welcome Back Brownie Troop 515!

Our first meeting for the 2014/2015 year is Sunday, September 28th
(biweekly on Sundays thereafter)

QSP Product Sales (a.k.a. Our Nut Sales!) for 2014


Troop Timeline

Sept. 1 - 30:                     

Train girls/parents at a troop  meeting. Review all safety policies; refer to Volunteer Essentials, the packet of national guidelines created by Girl Scouts of  the USA.

Distribute and collect permission slips.
Oct. 1 - 19: Order taking begins; girls collect payment for upfront magazine and photo keepsake orders on paper order forms and submit to troop along with nut/candy orders.
Oct. 22: Deadline for troops to enter all orders – nuts/candy, magazine and photo keepsake orders, address booklets, 12 e-mails, etc. in order for the troop to earn proceeds on all.
Oct. 22 - 30: Submit all money collected for paper order forms of magazine and photo keepsake orders by using a TD Bank council product sale deposit ticket that has been supplied to you by your community product sale coordinator. Be sure to include your troop number on ticket and to submit a copy to your community product sale coordinator in order for your troop to receive credit for payment. Submit all paper order forms, address booklets, etc. to your community product sale coordinator for processing.
Nov. 10 - 14: Deliveries scheduled for all communities. Be sure to identify the location, date and time to pick up your order.
Nov. 14 - 21: Girls deliver nut/candy products and collect money and submit it to their troop. Booth sales begin.
Nov. 19: Any money collected at this point should be deposited into the TD Bank council product sales account being certain to include your troop number on the ticket.
Nov. 26:

All final deposit copies submitted to your community product sale coordinator with troop number included.
