Pack Communication

This website has our Events calendar, links to important scout sites, and lists of scouts and leaders. Once you have joined our pack, you will receive a welcome email from the site, which will allow you to enter the Private Site, which can only be accessed by members of our pack.  After you log in to the site, please change your password and update your profile with your home phone, cell phone and address.

Email:  This is our main method of communication.  Please let a leader know if you do not use email.

Volunteering and Family Participation

Please fill out the Family Talent Survey Sheet.  Every parent is expected to volunteer to help their son and fellow scouts.  This can be on a full time basis as a leader, or on a part time basis such as a coordinator for a specific event.  Each parent is required to attend an overnight camping event once a year with their scout.

Parents are encouraged to attend all Cub Scout events and the entire family is encouraged to attend the pack meetings such as the Blue & Gold Banquet, or rain gutter regatta.  Parents of Tigers (first grade) are required to attend all den and pack meetings, this is a BSA policy.

Fees

Our pack dues this year are ($144) per scout.  This covers expenses for den and pack meetings, badges and awards, pinewood derby, and rain gutter regatta boats.  This pays for annual ($24) registration, insurance fee, neckerchief, neckerchief slide and handbook when the scouts advance at the end of the year.  Boy's Life magazine is optional at a cost of ($12) which is delivered to your home monthly.  Pack numbers (3312) for the uniform are provided by the unit (See Ms. Harris) at a cost of ($1).  You may pay it all at once in September or payment arrangement are made through our Treasurer/Secretary, Ms. Harris.  $48 in September, $48 in January and $48 in May.  Make all checks out to Pack 3312.

Our calendar year begins in September and dues are prorated by the month upon which you join.

Fund Raisers

We have four fundraisers each year; pancake breakfast, spaghetti dinner, popcorn and camp card sales.  Thirty percent of all popcorn sales go directly into each scout's account and he can used this towards dues, camp and other scout activities.  For each $5 camp card a scout sells he keeps a $2.60 commission.  Coupled with other fundraising efforts, a scout can pay all his expenses incurred for the year himself, if he is willing to be industrious, not to mention the valuable lessons learned.

Uniforms

Uniforms may be bought at the Scout shop.  Scouts should wear their uniform to all scouting events, unless the leaders recommend casual clothes.  In general, our scouts wear the shirt with all the appropriate patches, the neckerchief, and the neckerchief slide.  Cap and uniform pants are optional.
