The year has been full of fun activities so far, and we will continue that trend with our next few meetings.  Sunday, February 22, we will have our annual Blue & Gold banquet to celebrate the birthday of Boy Scouts.  At this banquet we will have a Native American ceremony to award the Arrow of Light to our Webelos Scouts and they will leave the Pack by "crosssing over" into greater adventures in Boy Scouts and life in general.

Several of our leaders attended the "University of Scouting" in January and learned more about the revamped Cub Scout program, its goals and all the things that are new.  If you have tried Cub Scouts in the past and did not like the program, try again, many concepts are the same, but the whole program has been updated and changed.

Future Pack meetings will include a Train Safety focus, and an indoor campfire with skits and songs, all leading up to the end-of-year camp-out.  So the fun is not over yet!

Scouting is the premier youth development program for boys in the country with a long history of success at helping boys to become young men with character and a solid moral compass.  Cub Scouts is the start of that journey and lays the foundation for character development.

Additional information about Cub Scouts can be found at the Michigan Crossroads Council website or you can call  the Cub Master, Sean Barrett, at the number below.

We hope to see you there!

Upcoming events:

10/16/15-10/18/15 - Haunted Forest Camping Weekend

Pack 255 is located in Rochester Hills MI, and is chartered by
St. Mary of the Hills church.  You do not need to attend this church to be in this Pack.
We typically have between 25 and 35 scouts and we have kids from 4 schools at this time, though most come from Hamlin and Hampton in Rochester Hills.

Pack 255 is active year-round, and there is at least one
major event for our scouts in every month:

Our typical Pack Calendar looks like this:
September - Round Up / Games
October - Guest Speaker
November - Service Project / Scouting for Food
December - Raingutter Regatta or Space Derby / Christmas Parade
January - Pinewood Derby
February - Blue and Gold Banquet
March - Guest Speaker
April - Camp fire / Earth Day Clean Up
May - Memorial Day Parade
June - Crossover
July - Day Hike / Day Camp
August - Resident Camp

In addition to the above Pack events, Pack 255 scouts participate in other trips within their Dens.   Each Den consists of 6-12 scouts of the same grade/age.  Tiger scouts, being first graders, are the youngest.  Second graders are Wolves, third graders are Bears, and fourth and fifth graders are Webelos.

Pack 255 is lucky to have great scouts and great leaders, which results in a lot of fun at every event!
