Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, to make the world a better place. At Girl Scouts, everything is girl-led, which gives girls the opportunity to learn by doing while building leadership skills. The girls Discover themselves and their values, Connect with others, and Take Action to make the world better. All of this is done in a cooperative learning environment.
Girl Scouts in the 21st century is structured to make sure members can participate in Girl Scouting in the ways they want. Girls can choose any one, all, or some of the options- camp, events, series, troop, and travel- within a membership year (starting in October 1 ending the following September).
