Troop 30646 is girl-led fourth grade Junior troop in Tonawanda, New York.  As part of the Ken-Ton Service Unit, we work toward earning Journeys and Badges, giving back to our community and creating outdoor memories guided by the Girl Scout Promise and the Girl Scout Law.   

What the girls have been up to....


Troop 30646 was busy as usual in the past year!  Here's some of the things the girls have been up to:

  • Fall Campout @ Seven Hills 
  • Earned our Camper Badge
  • Earned our Musician Badge
  • Magazine and Munchies Sale
  • Juliette Gordon Low Birthday Bags Event
  • Held a Rededication/Investiture Ceremony
  • Created Patrols and held elections
  • Earned our First Aid Badge
  • Earned our Junior Girl Scout Way Badge
  • Completed our aMuse Journey
  • Decorated two trees of the Festival of Trees
  • Caroled at area Senior Apartments
  • Attended and helped younger scouts with games at our SU Cookie Kick-off
  • Visited a Bead store to complete our Jeweler Badge
  • Held a Family Ice Skating event with another troop
  • Attended KenTon Service Unit Winter Carnival Campout
  • Held Cookie Booths... we ROCKED our Cookie Sale!!
  • Attended our SU SWAP Meet
  • Completed our Get Moving Journey at TIFT Nature Preserve
  • Learned about Animal Habitats at the Buffalo Zoo
  • participated in STEM-a-palooza to learn about science and technology
  • Completed our Entertainment Technology Badge
  • Became members of the Camp Adventure Club
  • Completed our Safety Award
  • Earned our Simple Meals Badge...YUM!
  • White water rafted at Letchworth State Park
  • Attended Ready, Set, Camp to brush up on our outdoor skills
  • Planned our year end Court of Awards
  • Planned our Gettysburg/Hershey Summer trip
  • Attended our SU encampment

Live in or near the Tonawanda area?

Interested in giving to the community and enjoy spending time helping girls grow into leaders?  

Consider volunteering with Girl Scouts of Western New York and becoming a leader in the Ken-Ton Service Unit!  
  • Applying is easy, training is available as well as endless continued mentoring, friendship and support by other area leaders.
  • You don't have to have a daughter in Girl Scouts to be a volunteer, any adult (18+) is eligible to apply.
  • What time you volunteer is up to you!  Create your own schedule for meetings, planning and most events
Don't think a leader position is right for you but interested in helping other ways?  

There are multiple ways you can share your talents with Girl Scouts!  
  • Manage a Sale
  • Assist with a Troop
  • Share your skills and talents with girls
  • Be a chaperon
  • Help with Events or shorter term programs
