"Troop on the Move"

TROOP 400 of ALVIN, TEXAS
MEETS ON TUESDAYS 7:30-9:00
CHARTERED BY GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH

If you are a boy between the ages of 11 and 18, you have got to check us out! Scouting teaches you essential life skills while having fun. We love adventure and our troop is very active, going to places like the canoeing on the Neches River, summer camping at Bastrop's Lost Pines, trips to the Aquarium to learn Oceanography, and Alvin Community College to learn pottery, and Louisiana's Camp Edgewood for Fall Camp.  We go camping, canoeing, climbing, hiking, shooting, archery and so many more exciting activities that we just can't list them all.

Besides just having fun, scouting prepares you with
life skills that you won’t get in school. Starting a campfire, pitching a tent, fixing a car, building a cleaning station, camping in all kinds of weather...there’s over 120 life skills and merit badges you can earn

Our scouts also perform community services.  Helping people in need by assisting in Toiletry Ministries at our community churches, cleaning up trash within our city, and many more events where they earn "service hours" for their time and efforts.

C'mon - take a chance.  We bet you'll love scouting with us.  See you Tuesday!
