We are a Cub Scout pack chartered by the Countryside Elementary PTO in Olathe, Kansas. We are proud members of the Red Tail Hawk District which is a part of the Heart of America Council in the Greater Kansas City area.
Dens usually meet twice a month for various fun activities and games while earning achievements and awards that fulfill each level's badge requirements. Scouts usually start in the 1st grade as Bobcats and quickly earn their Tiger badges. 2nd graders are in the Wolf Den while 3rd graders are known as Bears. 4th and 5th graders are Webelos (We be loyal scouts) on their way to crossing over into Boy Scouts at the conclusion of grade school.
We typically meet as a pack once a month at Countryside to celebrate with the entire pack what the boys (and parents) have learned and accomplished. Throughout the 2012-2013 school year, we will emphasize camping, demonstration and social skills. We encourage participation from parents, siblings and family to help make it an exciting year!
