WELCOME TO PACK 502 !

Our Pack is comprised of boys from first through fifth grades, most of whom attend Jennie Moore Elementary in the beautiful and historical lowcountry coastal town of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. We are members of the Etiwan District of the Carolina Coastal Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

While we are fully entrenched in the current Scouting year, we're always looking for more boys to join in on our fun. Please Note: there is ALWAYS open enrollment to join Pack 502. If you are new to Scouting, please check through our site to see the types of activities and events we sponsor throughout the year to see if our Pack is a good fit for you. Of special interest would be the pages dealing with Family Activities, Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold Banquet, Service Projects, Pictures, and Pack Meetings

In addition, check through the Den Levels to see where your son would start out now and what he has to look forward to throughout his Scouting career. If you're wondering how much time this all takes, we promise the effort your son puts into Scouting will pay dividends in the end. Our Pack has sent over one hundred boys into Boy Scouting, several of whom have become Eagle Scouts.

The benefits and lessons a boy can learn from Cub Scouts in these developmental years of his life are endless. Before you know it, your son will be teaching his own children the values you instilled in him. Your time to mold your son into the man you want him to become is now. Does that time commitment you were so worried about a few minutes ago look like too much now?
CHARTERED BY ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN SINCE 1988.

Cub Scout Fundamentals

Cub Scout Motto

Doing his best is one of the most important things for the Cub Scout to learn. Boys often become so interested in winning that they fail to see the importance of doing the best they can at everything. One boy?s best might be quite different from another boy?s best. Cub Scouting teaches boys that no one can find fault with them if they always do their best.

Cub Scout Salute

The salute is made by joining the index and middle fingers of the right hand (holding the other fingers with the thumb) and touching the extended fingers to the cap visor or forehead. The hand is held the same as for the Cub Scout sign, except the two fingers are together.

The Cub Scout salute is used to salute the flag when in uniform and covered (wearing a hat) and to show respect to den and pack leaders. It can be used when greeting other Cub Scouts.

Cub Scout Handshake

Using your right hand, place your first two fingers along the inside of the other boy's wrist. This means that you help and that you obey the law of the Pack.
